Acne Natural Treatment

I wanted to get in on these posts about acne natural treatment and mask making. I know many people that have struggled with acne, pimples, and skin blemishes. It can be embarrassing and, for younger readers, can be a cause for teasing. These are some of my favorites.
Baking Soda Mask
You can get a large 13 lb. bag of baking soda from Costco for about $8. Very inexpensive and easy to apply. All you'll need is baking soda and distilled water. Tap water contains trace elements that you may not want on your skin. House filters are always recommended. Remember that you will only need a tiny bit of water to make the paste. Baking soda dissolves fast in water. Use 1/2 cup of baking soda with a little water. Add a tablespoon at a time until you get the consistency you want. Be sure to remove make-up before applying and clean your face with a gentle cleanser.
Apply the mixture of baking soda and water to your face, starting on the top and work your way down your face. Gently scrub it in.
Allow it to sit for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Baking soda and water will help clear your skin clear so you can use it a couple times per week. Don’t over-do it. It can cause the skin to become red and irritated.
Greek Yogurt Mask
This is another effective acne mask that works fairly well, and is not as harsh as the baking soda or salt masks.
What you'll need is a couple of teaspoons of honey and one teaspoon of Greek yogurt. Mix together until it has a past consistency. Apply the paste to your face, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse off with warm water or rub off with a wet washcloth. If the mixture is too thick or sticky, you can heat the honey just a bit. This will help to evenly apply it to your skin.
Salt Acne Mask
This mask works, but honestly, I'd start with the others first. Salt can render your skin a bit irritated if not done right. It can also dry it out if used too often, but it still works to get rid of acne when applied correctly. You can make it easily.
Sea salt works best. Get a 1/2 cup of sea salt and add distilled water a little at a time in a bowl. Mix both ingredients, apply to your face or to the affected areas, and allow it to sit for 20 minutes, but no longer. Remember it can dry your skin out too much.
Rinse with cool water. Salt has been used as an effective cleanser for decades. It reduces oils in your skin, thereby reducing pimples and acne spots on your face and neck.
Oatmeal with Lemon Juice Mask
Get some regular organic oatmeal and 1 lemon. Don't use steel cut oats. They won't work in making a paste. Use 1/2 cup of oatmeal and the juice of 1/2 a lemon, and mix with a little water in a bowl to make a paste. Add the water slowly and mix it to the desired consistency. Apply it on your face and leave for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Your skin will feel noticeably different.
